PG XL should indeed use DHCP and ask for an address after the network interruption.

It depends on your network setup of course but a thing worth looking into is increasing lease time?
My guess is the PG XL gets a different IP than the one the app is connected to? Or am I wrong?

Currently I call it orphaned ip it is set to DHCP and does not matter you can do a complete reset of the network and the pgxl will not reconnect until it is shut down and restarted, if you set it to fixed ip the same thing happens its at this point not the network with the problem this is the only one that does this try it at home reboot the network with the pgxl online and it will not come back until powered down and turned back on.
