Triplexer Extender QPXC8

Product Code: 802
Brand: 4O3A Signature
* Connector Type:

In order to meet the different needs and various setups of big stations we decided to put flexibility in to the foreground of our design. Instead of designing a simple Quadriplexer with four fixed band outputs we designed our Combiner QPXC-8, as an addition to the existing Triplexer System.

It can be used with our filters, or with any existing filters from other producers.

This design enables you to:

Have flexible quadriplexer setups

Create a combiner for 10/15/20/40M for four band Yagi antennas that exist on the market for years, using standard combiner for high bands  (as our Combiner HFC3000) and QPXC8.
As shown on the diagram 1, the standard 3 bands Combiner (which makes up the Triplexer system by adding the filters) is connected to the “OUT T” (Triplexer output) and the 40M BPF is connected to “OUT L” (Low band output) of the combiner QPXC8. By doing these simple steps you have created the Quadriplexer for 10/15/20/40M.
You can use the same logic but use the filters for WARC bands instead. This will create a WARC Quadriplexer.
You can connect any low band antenna to the low band output including 40M, 80M and 160M. In other words any low frequency antenna from 1.8MHz to 7.3MHz.
You can connect any antenna for higher frequency bands from 14Mhz to 30MHz to the triplexer output.

Standard Triplexer Extension

Connect distant antennas easily

QPXC-8 can be used for combining distant TX and RX antennas over any one coax cable of any length. At the end of the coax you can use another QPXC-8 combiner with a standard switching and filtering system behind it.
For example, the 4O3A station uses TX InBand antennas that are 400m away from the main RUN antennas. A few hundred meters away we have an 8 Circle RX system. In order to prevent losses the dislocated antennas are powered by a hard line expensive 15/8 coax cable. This combination was successfully used in CQWW 2014 when 4O3A M/S team set new EU record.
On the other end another QPXC8 Combiner is used to separate the bands into segments. This way we can use one coax cable to transmit on higher bands while simultaneously listening on lower bands without any interference.

TPE one cable TX/RX

Reduce station complexity

Diagram number three shows combining of the Tribander with lower band antennas that are connected by one coaxial cable. This case is used for standard operation with the benefit of avoiding antenna switchers and using multiple cables for their control as well as other problems such setups carry.
