AG 8X1 problem 4 years 5 months ago #87

Good Morning,

I am having an issue, I just went to add 60m for 2 antennas and after placing the check mark in the 60 m band and saving and rebooting it still shows 30 m and that antenna selection. The radio is a Flex 6600 and it definitely switches the other bands as expected. I did an export and then deleted all bands and that shows correctly. I then added only 60 M and it shows as 30 M.

Any Thoughts?

Hello Scott,

What is your band data source? A Flex radio I assume?

The first thing that comes to mind is custom band frequency ranges.
See the attachment.

Dragisa,

That is the way mine is set up with the 60m band listed as 5.000 to 6.000. The interesting thing is that when AG is running, it shows as 30m when I am on 5.330mhz

Sorry,
here are the 2 screen shots. As you can see 60m is checked in the select for ant 3 but does not appear

Dear Scott,

The first band matching the frequency will be selected, in your case that seems to be 30M.
Bands that have a more specific range should be defined first.
So I think "inserting" your 60M band specification before 30M should fix it.
It'll take some copy/pasting though.

Dragisa,

Once I placed the bands in order and then set the antenna to band configuration, all is good. This is an excellent product. The only reason I saw this issue was that I want to see how my 40m wire will load up on 60m as opposed to the 80m wire.

Thanks again for the help

Dear Scott,

That's great! It's my pleasure!

Thank you, I'm very glad to hear that you're happy with our product. :)

Maybe we should point this out in the window itself, I'll add this to the task list for the Windows app.

one question I forgot to ask you is: when the AG and station is powered down, where does the AG direct the signal path to? I know that my AMP pulls the port to ground , just thinking about increased lightning protection.

Hi Soctt,

Both 8x1 and 8x2 are grounded when turned off.
