Best way to mount magnetic sensor 3 years 5 months ago #355

I noticed that the sensor reacts to side to side tilting as well as turning. What methods are the best to insure that the sensor remains in a level plane. I was thinking of mounting it on a 1/4 think aluminum bar and using antenna element mounts from DX Engineering to secure it to the boom of the antenna. My concern in how is the best way to mount the sensor to the aluminum bar. I assume that tie wraps will work . What have others done.

Hey Paul,

Yes, the sensor does react to tilting, it's important to secure it well.

We don't have any special recommendations for mounting other then to make sure to use non-ferromagnetic materials.
I think plastic zip ties are a good solution - cheap, strong, easy to remove.
