TGXL....Tell me I have read this correctly. Unlike other tuner memories where there are so many bins per band the TGXL has 10 memories per band and it will select the closest memory to the selected frequency. My TGXL serial # 469

Its not correct.

TGXL has 20 memories per band. Its more than enough for any type of antenna.
If you have Antenna Genius connected on TGXL, than you will have 20 memories per each antenna on the specific band, which is theoretically 160 memories per band ( 8 x 20 )
Tuner will restore memory solution from the nearest frequency.
